So I went white water rafting for the first time ever yesterday with a buncha friends in Ohiopyle, PA…It was SOOOOO much fun!!! We got there at noon after driving for about 3 hours. The weather was perfect! After hanging around as other people showed up, the tourguides talked a bit and gave us our lifejackets and helmets. Eventually we made our way to the schoolbusses to take us to where the river was. ‘BJ’, one of the guides, gave us a good talkin to about safety before letting us carry our rafts down to the river. He reminded us not to get offended if he was cursing at us while we were going down the river. There were 84 people in total, 11 from our group. We broke up our group into two rafts: 5 and 6. I was in the 6 person with Haris, Zoha, DK, Donnie, and Gary…which was obviously the better raft than Hamza’s, with Salman, Huda, Andy, and Hamza’s roommate who’s name I can’t spell.  (more…)

OK so it’s been a while since I’ve updated this, but now that I have my friend Chris’s blog working, I’m motivated to write more on my own.

I’m happily employed at Motorola Inc. in Columbia, MD now, as a Systems Engineering intern. I’m the ONLY intern here (im special eh?), which was depressing to find out when I got there on the first day, but everyone is more than nice and I seem to be getting along well. I’m also taking a compsci class (CMSC330 – Organization of Programming Languages) this summer, which will be over July 27th. We have our first project due tonight at midnight, but thankfully I’m done done done! Woooooot.. Well I think at least…we’ll see if I think of anything I didn’t test…hmm…scary thought.

My days are long as heck…Class 9:30-11am, work until around 7-8pm, and somehow I’m fitting in going to the gym too. Weekends are like heaven for me. I wish I didn’t have to take this class!! Then I could chill with people and have more of a summer…but it’s required and I gotta do what I gotta do. My last day with Moto is August 10.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention-they’re sending me to Illinois for a week at the end of July! Niiiiiice

I’m excited about this weekend…white water rafting baby!!!!

I’m getting hungry, so time for lunch. Later!
